One of the hottest versions of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is the S63 AMG Coupe, which has been officially unveiled.

Mercedes-Benz has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the new S63 AMG Coupe, which is the more potent version of the newly unveiled S-Class Coupe. The model in question looks rather tamed and it’s adopting a slightly more aggressive body, with some muscular side skirts, with larger air vents, with a quad exhaust system and so on. The powerful luxurious two-door coupe is riding on 19-inch AMG forged light alloy wheels, wrapped in 255/45 and 285/40 tires.

The most important part of the newly unveiled Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe is found under its hood, where the 5.5 liter V8 engine is resting. The unit in question is producing a total output of 577 HP (430 kW) and it has a peak torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). This is actually making it 41 HP (30 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque more powerful than the current CL63 AMG. When compared to its predecessor, the new S63 AMG Coupe is 65 kg (143 lbs) lighter and it has a 3.41 kg / hp power-to-weight ratio.

Thanks to these figures, the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds and it can reach a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). In the AWD version (4MATIC), the 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in 3.9 seconds. The car manufacturer says that the S63 AMG Coupe has the MAGIC BODY CONTROL, the AIRMATIC air suspension, ceramic composite brakes, AMG sport seats, flat bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, Nappa leather upholstery and 20-inch AMG Performance Studio wheels, amongst others.

The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe will be getting an Edition 1 which will come with features such as the illuminated AMG lettering on the door sill panels, the bespoke floor mats, Night View Assist Plus, Exclusive Nappa leather, AMG sport seats, Swarovski crystals in the LED headlights, high-gloss black wood trim and more. The S63 AMG Coupe will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 New York Auto Show, next month. Orders for the 4MATIC will begin in April and in July the RWD version will go on sale too. Deliveries will start in September.
