Mercedes-Benz will be offering a S63 AMG Coupe for auction at the Cannes Film Festival and all proceeds will be donated to charity.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has managed to place the S63 AMG Coupe into the spotlights once again, this time by announcing an auction of such a model, during the Cannes Film Festival. According to the car manufacturer, all proceeds will be donated to charity, to the amfAR Foundation, which is dedicated to the AIDS problem.
The winning bidder of the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe will be able to customize his new ride and he will be advised by Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team driver, on which options to select, during a race weekend at the Formula 1 Paddock Club. As you probably already know by now, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe is taking power from a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 577 HP (430 kW) and a peak torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes just 3.9 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 299 km/h (186 mph).
