Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce the new S-Class Coupe in the S65 AMG version in a couple of months, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Originally unveiled as a concept car during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is ending up in our news once again, this time in its final production form and top of the line variant, the S65 AMG. According to the guys at blog.mercedes-benz-passion.com, the new Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March, and it should become available for order in several markets by the end of the year.
The official replacement for the CL-Class will stand at approximately 5,05 meters long, 1,96 meters wide and 1,44 meters tall and it’s said to look very much like the concept car except for the side mirrors, the headlights and some other modifications. The S65 AMG will come with rear-wheel drive only, while the more “tamed” version, the S63 AMG, will get the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The S-Class Coupe will have no diesel engines and as far as transmission goes, a 7G TRONIC PLUS will become available, along with a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed auto.
