Mercedes-Benz will be officially presenting to the public the SL 417 Mile Miglia Edition during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, early next month.
Despite the unveil of the AMG GT has been made almost six months ago, Mercedes-Benz hasn’t forgotten about the sports car’s little brother, the SL. The model in question has recently received a new special edition, the SL 417 Mille Miglia, and this will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.
The new Mercedes-Benz 417 Mille Miglia Special Edition is paying tribute to the 1995 SL320 and SL500 Mille Miglia Special Editions as the new model has received the same treatment, along with the 417 race number won 60 years ago in its class at Mille Miglia. The carmaker says that the 417 Mille Miglia will become available as a package limited to just 500 units.
This will be adding the red accents for the front spoiler lip, brake calipers, rear apron, 19-inch / 20-inch front to rear alloy wheels, red and matte carbon accents in the cabin, the Mille Miglia 417 lettering in the headrests and several other goodies. Prices for this in the SL400 start from 14,000 euros while for the SL500 modifications you will have to pay 12,800 euros. The SL400 has a 3.0L V6 twin turbo with 333 HP and the SL500 has a 4.6L twin turbo V8 with 435 HP (320 km). More details on the package will be announced in Geneva.
