Mercedes-Benz SL-Class gets launched in Malaysia image

The Malaysian division of Mercedes-Benz has recently announced that the all-new SL-Class has been recently launched locally.

According to the German based automaker, prices for the new Mercedes-Benz SL350 start at RM898, 888, and the folding hardtop convertible is now 50 mm longer and 57 mm wider than its predecessor, also weighing 140 kg less. The new SL-Class generation is coming with speed-sensitive steering system, electromechanical Direct-Steer variable ratio, active suspension and Active Body Control (ABC), amongst others.

Power to the new SL350 BlueEfficiency is being provided by a 3,499 cc V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 306 horsepower, with a peak torque of 370 Nm, available from 3,500 rpm to 5,250 rpm. The unit is naturally aspirated and it’s 30 percent more economical than the one used on its predecessor. The new Mercedes-Benz SL350’s engine is mated to a 7G-Tronic transmission, which is allowing the roadster to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, 0.3 faster than before, and the model can reach a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
