Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition to be launched in September image

The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently announced a special edition of the SL65 AMG, which will be named the 45th Anniversary Edition, and it will be launched in September, 2012.

According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition is coming with carbon fiber and aluminum engine cover, titanium grey finish on the AMG wheels, sports exhaust system, an exclusive design magno graphite paint, leather seats, alloy pedals, matte carbon fiber trim, “45 Anniversary” individually number plaque, COMAND Online infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen audio system and Airscarf seats.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition will be powered by a 6.0 liter biturbo V12 engine which will generate a total output of 621 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque (737 lb-ft). The engine is mated to the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds before hitting the 250 km/h (155 mph) electronically limited top speed. The 1,950 kg (4,300 lbs) roadster is emitting 270 g/km of CO2 and its burning an average of 11,6 liters of fuel every 100 km. The 45th Anniversary Edition of the SL65 AMG will be limited to 45 units.
