A couple of new renderings are showing the Mercedes-Benz SLK in a different body style than what we are used to, a coupe.
The Mercedes-AMG GT “revolution” has inspired rendering artists into reconsidering the current roadster lineup produced by the German based company, the SLK and the SL, and the smallest one has been reimagined as a coupe. The two images posted below are showing it with a solid fixed roof with a coupe like profile and we have to admit that the result doesn’t look that bad at all and it might be transformed into a rival for the Porsche Cayman in the near future.
As you probably already know by now, the Mercedes-Benz SLK has been in its new generation since 2011, when it was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show. The model in question is currently being assembled in Bremen, Germany, and it is offered in a two-door retractable hardtop body, with a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The SLK has a choice of four engines and two transmissions and it stands at 4,134 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,301 mm tall. You can read our review on the updated SLK here.
