Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series gets priced in Australia image

The Australian division of Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the official starting price of the SLS AMG Black Series, which goes on sale on the local auto market from 639,000 AUD.

According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series will set you back for 639,000 AUD in Australia and the price represents the MRLP (Manufacturer’s Recommended List Price), which excludes the stamp duty, registration fee, delivery taxes or other similar costs.

“The SLS AMG Coupé Black Series perfectly embodies the transition of performance technology from motorsport to the open road. The new SLS AMG Coupé Black Series further enhances the success of the Black Series, which has thrilled our customers since 2007”, said the Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia / Pacific managing director, Horst Von Sanden.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is powered by an upgraded 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 622 BHP (464 kW) and it has a peak torque of 634 Nm (468 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission, which is allowing the German supercar to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h). The SLS AMG Black Series is priced from 249,900 euros in Germany.
