The first render images with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Roadster have recently hit the web revealing what the model might look like.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Roadster might never see daylight but that doesn’t mean that the two images posted below aren’t a good exercise for our brains. The drop-top version of the German supercar is identical to the Coupe, except for the most visible part, its roof, which has been left aside for these two photos. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series has been inspired by the racing version and the model can be differentiated by its darkened headlights and taillights, and by other minor tweaks.
Power to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is being provided by the same 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 622 HP (464 kW) and 634 Nm of torque (468 lb-ft). These figures have been achieved thanks to the new air intake, cam shafts, improved oil and water cooling and to some other tweaks. The supercar can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph). Fuel consumption stands at 13.7 liters every 100 km and the CO2 emissions stop at 321 g/km.
