Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG gets crashed in Turkey image

A Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has been recently crashed in Turkey by its owner, famous comedian Tolga Cevik.

Despite leaving the production line in order to make room for the smaller, lighter, less powerful and cheaper AMG GT, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG remains one hot ride and the last supercar to be signed by the 3-pointed star. Such a model has been recently involved in a crash in Turkey, Istanbul, being driven by Tolga Cevik, a famous comedian. The crash happened because of excessive speed and chances are the German supercar will end up in the scrap yard as it seems to be totally damaged. The good news is that the driver hasn’t been injured, the bad news is that we cannot say the same about his ride or his ego.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a two-seater luxury grand tourer produced between 2010 and 2015 in Sindelfingen, Germany and designed by Mark Fetherston. This was offered in two body styles, a 2-door coupe and a 2-door roadster, with a soft top, both of them getting the front mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The SLS AMG was powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine which was capable of producing a total output of 563 HP (420 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, available at 4,750 rpm. The hotter SLS AMG Coupe Black Series came with an impressive 741 HP (552 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque from the same engine, which has been modified.
