Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG gets updated tuning program from McChip

The German aftermarket specialists at McChip have recently updated their tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, which is adding some interesting features.

According to the tuning company, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG can be fitted with a hydraulically controlled DDC or HLS 4 sports chassis signed by KW, which is becoming available from 12,999 euros, along with a CoverEFX matte grey /red foliation, which will set you back for another 5,999 euros. If you think that these upgrades are expensive, than the next part of the “story” is definitely not for you because the entire power upgrade package has been priced from 78,999 euros.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG can also be fitted with sports catalytic converters and with a custom exhaust system, amongst others, which, along with some engine software tweaks, is allowing the 6.2 liter naturally aspirated unit to produce a total output of 706 HP (519 kW) and 793 Nm of torque (585 lb-ft). This is a significant increase in power compared to the standard versions, where the same engine is generating 571 HP (420 kW) and it has a peak torque of 650 Nm (479 lb-ft). The modifications can be made in 5 to 7 working days by McChip.
