A special edition of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has been introduced recently by the German based automaker and it will become available for order soon.
Mercedes-Benz is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular Sprinter and what better way of doing this than by introducing a new special edition of the van. The model in question is coming with several exterior and interior modifications, which will definitely put some distance between it and the standard versions.
“Stuttgart – The Sprinter is celebrating its birthday – and everyone is invited to join the party. When it made its debut in 1995, it marked the start of a new era for vans: this highly successful model from Mercedes-Benz Vans has long since become synonymous with a particular breed of van with a gross vehicle weight of around 3.5 t”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 20th Anniversary Special Edition is getting the panel van and the crewbus body styles and it is coming with the body color bumpers, with the brilliant silver metallic exterior, the bi-xenon headlights, the 16-inch light alloy wheels, the chrome grille and the tinted taillights. Changes made to the interior are limited and they include the Edition Sprinter floor mats, while the crewbus versions are getting the tinted rear windows and the leather wrapped steering wheel. Only 2,000 examples of this vehicle will be produced and it will become available in 19 European countries. No pricing details have been announced so far.
