The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to develop a Black Series version of the facelifted E63 AMG.
After we have met the “new” Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG just a few months ago, the carmaker is planning an extreme version of it, which will be named the Black Series. The announcement has been made by Jorg Gindele, an AMG senior powertrain engineering manager, who said that the model will make its way onto the market towards the end of the current generation’s lifecycle. Unfortunately the company’s official has stopped here with the details on the E63 AMG Black Series, so we don’t know anything more on the model for the moment.
As a quick reminder, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is coming with an aggressive front fascia, with new headlights and with some other tweaks, which are helping it stand out from a crowd. The model is powered by a 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 550 HP (405 kW) and it has a peak torque of 719 Nm (531 lb-ft), sent to the 4-Matic all-wheel drive system. The model will arrive in dealerships across the globe in the following months.
