The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to develop a brand new model, a so-called GL Coupe, which will tackle vehicles like the upcoming BMW X7 or the Audi Q8.
Mercedes-Benz is getting busier these days and while working on the new generation of the S-Class, in its various body styles and performance, or developing the new GLA crossover, the company is also planning to develop some new models. One of these future vehicles will be a brand new large and luxurious SUV, a so-called GL Coupe, or probably GLC, as it will be known once it will hit the market, which will rival models like the upcoming Audi Q8 and the BMW X7.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GL Coupe (GLC) is expected to make its way onto the production line in 2016 and it will be a five-door vehicle with a rakish roofline, with new headlights, a distinctive front grille, new front and rear bumpers and an upgraded interior. The engine options remain unknown for the moment but the variety of diesel and petrol units will most likely be mated to the new nine-speed automatic transmission. Additional details on the Mercedes-Benz GLC are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following years.
