The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently announced its plans to offer some of the technologies from the new S-Class generation on the facelifted version of the E-Class.
According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift will be the first model in the company’s range to enjoy some of the safety features found on the new S-Class. In the options list, future customers of the facelifted version of the E-Class will be see the Distronic Plus, which can adjust the steering in order to keep the vehicle on the lane, radar to prevent collisions, various warning systems, Intelligent Drive and much more.
This is a bold move for Mercedes-Benz because these technologies will be applied on the facelifted version of the E-Class, and not on the new generation of the model which is expected to hit the market by 2016. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will get some of the technologies of the new S-Class on the sedan, coupe and Cabrio. Additional details on the subject, or the price list of some of the options, are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following weeks.
