The third largest luxury automaker in the world is not keeping its performance –oriented fans out of the loop, and swiftly after updating the compact A 45 AMG the brand has also refreshed the other class brethrens – the CLA 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake and GLA 45 AMG.
Mercedes recently unveiled the upgraded A 45 AMG and now the top of the pack class brothers – with all sharing the same broad architecture – have also received the mid-cycle refresh tweaks. They can be ordered already, with the A45 AMG facelift hatchback costing clients in Germany 51,051 euros, with all models being available at German dealerships starting this September. Further on, the CLA 45 AMG sedan will set you back €56,673 – the sleek and more practical Shooting Brake is a tad more expensive, starting at 57,268 euros. The high-performance GLA 45 crossover, which has been in tune with the booming SUV market in Europe, the ordering customers will need to have 56,168 euros in the bank.
The most important tweaks coming to the high-performance A range are located under the hood, as the four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline heart has been modified to develop 381 PS and 475 Nm (back in the day it was 360 and 450). Additionally, the matching AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed dual clutch gearbox has also been improved – third and seventh gears are shorter and the shift times have gone down a notch. A new, standard rotary dial will allow new AMG DYNAMIC SELECT transmission options – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual.
