If you are into spending more money to get the same vehicle but with different badges, than the Mercedes-Benz Citan is definitely what the doctor ordered and you shouldn’t even consider taking a look at its French cousin, the Renault Kangoo. The German based automaker has announced a series of updates for the light commercial vehicle, which includes the updated Euro 6 engines and an optional 6-speed DCT transmission.

According to the car manufacturer, the 1.5 liter turbo diesel unit is continuing to be offered in three outputs, with 75 HP, 90 HP and 110 HP, but the upgrade to Euro 6 has added an extra 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) of torque to the final figure for each diesel unit, as these numbers are now ranging between 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft). Extra torque is also available in the Citan 112 where the 1.2l petrol unit is producing 112 HP and up to 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, up from 175 Nm (129 lb-ft), available in second, third and fourth gear for maximum 20 seconds. This version of the Citan can also get the optional 6-speed DCT transmission. New optional extras are also available on the rest of the lineup which include the rearview camera, navigation system and so on.
