While the German automaker is AMG-izing every possible model across the lineup, the commercial vehicle department seems to be off limits – at least for the time being, with Mercedes only going as far as adding the new Sport Line to the Vito models.
The Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport Line is available for a wide range of the Vito Panel Van, Mixto, and Tourer models, and it’s all about the bling, not the end of the line time. “The Vito Sport Line combines numerous sporty items of additional equipment to offer a dynamic and attractive overall package for our successful model,” comments Klaus Maier, dead of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans. It’s virtually a design package, bringing new elements such as 18-inch light-alloy wheels, some decals, body-color side skirts and even a chrome-plated radiator grille. There’s one dynamic enhancement at least – the company has reworked the suspension setup for a sportier stance.
Inside, there are mostly luxury amenities – such as the optional panoramic roof, the seats clad in black artificial leather and a full chrome interior package. The steering wheel and gearshift lever also get the high-quality treatment, being wrapped in natural leather. There are also some other options – such as larger 19-inch wheels and even an all-wheel drive system. The Sport Line goes live for the Vito lineup starting next month and pricing starts from 2,500 euro and goes all the way up to 4,100 euro, depending on the model the customer decides upon.
