Mercedes C63 AMG gets updated by DTE-Systems image

A German tuning company called DTE-Systems has worked its magic around a range topping version of the new C-Class generation, the C63 AMG.

Usually when writing about modified vehicles we are used to seeing some big names in the industry which have created impressive examples but every once in a while we have to get out the “comfort zone” and tell you about models which have been signed by companies which you’ve probably never heard about. Even so, this particular example of the Mercedes C63 AMG is worth mentioning as it has been modified by a German tuning company which is called DTE-Systems. The upgrade kit has the full TUV certification and comprehensive warranty, as the tuner is stating.

In standard for, the Mercedes C63 AMG has a 4.0 liter newly developed V8 twin turbo engine under its hood, which is also used on the AMG GT. The unit is good for 476 HP (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque in the C63 AMG and 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) in the C63 AMG S. The figures have been bumped by DTE-Systems by using multi-map technology to 590 HP (434 kW) and 816 Nm (602 lb-ft) of torque. There is actually no word on performance but expect this to be faster than the C63 AMG S which needs 4.0s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). No pricing details have been announced either.
