Mercedes CL63 AMG by Vath image

The German tuner Vath doesn’t agree with Mercedes CL63 AMG’s performance and has decided to upgrade it both mechanically and esthetically.

The exterior design of the Vath CL63 AMG has been modified and it goes in just perfectly with the car’s character, except for the big black alloys which assemble very much with a large frying pan, but then again, what would tuning be without giant rims.

I think we all agree that the giant 5.5 liter V8 AMG engine is an untamed animal but the facelifted CL63 is now delivering 621 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque, 85 HP and 130 Nm more, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and hitting a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

The tuner also installed a high-performance braking system and a sport suspension module, which theoretically should improve the car’s handling, but modifying an AMG isn’t easy and most of the time something awful comes out of it.

Customers will also be able to order a carbon fiber styling package which adds lightweight material to the spoiler, rear diffuser and mirrors.

Vath didn’t announce a price for its performance upgrade and visual kit but in the end it’s up to you to say whether you like it or a simple CL63 AMG is better.
