Mercedes’ newest creation, the Maybach Pullman, has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut which will take place at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, next month.
After being spied several times and then teased just a day ago, the brand new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman has been officially unveiled, over the web at least. The luxury cruiser is basically a chauffeur driven limousine which is 1,053 mm longer than the Maybach S-Class, 100 mm taller than the S-Class and riding on a 4,418 mm long wheelbase, translated into class leading legroom for the rear seat passengers.
“Quite apart from providing stately and stylish seating for high-ranking passengers in the comfort and spaciousness for which it is famed, the new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is of course the embodiment of exclusivity at its highest level”, said the member of the Daimler AG management board for sales and marketing of Mercedes-Benz cars, Ola Kallenius.
The brand new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman has been equipped with premium leather upholstery, with rear privacy curtains, with wood trim, two executive seats which can recline up to 43.5 degrees, electrically operated partition window which can be turned from transparent to opaque at the simple touch of a button, an 18.5-inch display for the rear entertainment system, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, full length center console and roof mounted instruments showing the rear seat passengers the car’s speed, the outside temperature and the time.
Mercedes has equipped the recently unveiled Maybach Pullman with a 6.0 liter V12 engine. This is capable of producing no less than 530 HP (390 kW) and a peak torque of 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). We are not sure what it takes to reach 100 km/h from a standstill or what its top speed is but we’re pretty sure that these figures will probably be announced once the model will be ready for its future customers. Prices for it will begin at approximately 500,000 euros (570,465 USD / 371,645 GBP).
