Mercedes-Maybach S600 shown in Guangzhou image

The brand new Mercedes-Maybach S600 has been shown in China recently, in an Asian premiere, during the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show.

After being officially introduced in Los Angeles a few days ago, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the company bringing it to the Asian continent, for the very first time, where it was unveiled in Guangzhou. The model in question is the more luxurious version of the S-Class long wheelbase which has been designed to compete with models such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Bentley Flying Spur.

Its exterior design has some styling differences which can be easily noticed compared to a standard S-Class long wheelbase, which include the modified rear doors, the third side window and so on. The model has grown by 200 mm in size, to a total of 5,453 mm, with a wheelbase standing in at 3,365 mm. As far as the engine lineup goes, the brand new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be offered, in the S600 version, at first, with a V12 twin turbo 6.0 liter unit under its hood, rated at 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. The S500 will be added, with a 4.7L V8 biturbo, producing 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), while the S400 4Matic will be bringing a 3.0L V6 with 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft).
