The Mercedes-Maybach will become available in two new versions besides the already confirmed S600.
Mercedes-Benz has recently announced its plans to introduce the Mercedes-Maybach in two new versions. These will be the S500 and the S400 4MATIC, besides the already confirmed S600. Although the first teaser images were announcing only a single version of the revived Maybach, the company will introduce two more, the S500 and the S400 4MATIC. The first one will be coming with a 4.7 liter V8 unit, capable of producing 455 HP and 700 Nm of torque, while the more modest one will get a 3.0 liter V6 with 333 HP and 480 Nm of torque.
The already announced Mercedes-Maybach S600 will be slightly cheaper than the defunct Maybach 57 and it will pack a 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 engine, rated at 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. The model will get a modified front grille, stretched rear doors, more legroom to the rear, updated C-pillars and reclining individual rear seats, amongst others. The luxury cruiser will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show and at the 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show.
