Mercedes-Benz will be introducing, in the near future, a hotter version of the recently unveiled AMG GT.
The announcement hasn’t been made official but published by the guys from Autocar, who have recently spoken to Tobias Moers, the AMG boss. According to our source, the company’s official has talked about another derivative of the recently unveiled AMG GT, which will be a street-legal GT3. This means that the model in question will be aimed towards the Porsche 911 GT3. This will come in a lighter body, compared to the one of the AMG GT S, and it will offer approximately 550 HP (404 kW).
Thanks to the added power and to the reduced weight, the future range-topper version of the model will be even more impressive than the current AMG GT S. The new sports car has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The model is packing a 4.0 liter V8 biturbo engine, rated at 462 HP (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, in the entry-level, while in the AMG GT S this is rated at 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Prices for the model have been set from 115,430 euros.
