Mercedes-Benz has revealed British customers will be able to order the S Class Cabriolet, which has a starting price in the United Kingdom of 110,120 British pounds.
Available for order, the model will be available as the base S 500 AMG Line which comes complete with an AMG body kit, LED headlights, and 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated / ventilated front seats, and an Airscarf neck-level heating system. Further highlights include heated rear seats, an intelligent climate control system, and dual 12.3-inch displays with GPS navigation. Motivation comes courtesy of a 4.6-liter biturbo V8 engine that delivers 455 horsepower – that’s good for a 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 4.6 seconds and an electronically-limited maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Upscale buyers may want to go further to the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabriolet which has an even more pronounced AMG body kit, a sports exhaust system, 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels and also adds goodies such as Nappa leather upholstery, a Driving Assistance package, and a 13 speaker Burmester surround sound system. The power comes from a biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine that churns out 585 hp. The 62 mph run will last just 4.2 seconds and the speed limiter can be axed if you go for the AMG Driver’s package – top speed now stands at 186 mph.
The flagship version is the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet which ups the ante with a biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine packing 630 hp and a dash to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds – with the top speed again standing at 186 mph. Other amenities of the model include 20-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights with integrated Swarovski crystals. There are also diamond quilted Nappa leather seats, illuminated door sill plates, and a 23 speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system or a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and a Night View Assist system.
