Mercedes S-Class Grand Edition was launched in Italy image

By celebrating its 125th birthday and the 60 years of manufacturing the luxurious S-Class, Mercedes-Benz automaker has unveiled the S-Class Grand Edition in Italy.

According to the German company, from the over 400.000 S-Classes of the Grand Edition, 6.300 were delivered in Italy and the rest will be shipped to dealers worldwide.

The new special edition features AMG “goodies” for style and performance, with a more aerodynamic design by adding the new front and rear bumpers, “connected” to the new sideskirts.

Customers of the Grand Edition are able to choose from four engines for their S-Class, two petrol and two diesel versions.

The S250 CDI is powered by a four-cylinder bi-turbo engine which produces 204 HP and has an average fuel consumption of only 5.7 L / 100 km. The other diesel is a BlueTEC V6 which is developing 258 HP and 620 Nm of torque with emission values for Euro6.

The S350 BlueEFFICIENCY will be powered by a V6 petrol engine and it will be developing 306 HP, while its “bigger brother”, the V8 petrol will deliver 435 HP.

People interested in the new Mercedes S-Class Grand Edition can already order one but the price for all variants is currently unknown.
