The first images with the brand new MG CS Concept have recently leaked ahead of the model’s official debut scheduled for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, next week.
With the Shanghai Motor Show, in the 2013 edition, coming in pretty fast, most automakers are getting ready to surprise the Chinese audience, and not only, with their newest creations, which will sometimes be transformed into final production versions and launched on the local auto market. Some investments in plants are also considered in order to cut down the production costs, or some joint ventures, with Chinese companies.
But things don’t always work out as they should when trying to keep cars a secret for a long time, and this was learned the hard way by MG, because its latest creation, the CS Concept, has just leaked all over the web. The model is previewing a future crossover, with retry styling and a familiar line, which will hit the market in the nearby future. We can see the tailgate mounted spoiler in the images posted below, along with the sporty rear bumper or the center mounted dual exhaust system. Rumors are saying that the model is based on the MG5 and it might used a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which is good for 135 BHP (101 kW). Additional details on the CS Concept will be announced on the 20th of April, in Shanghai.
