The first images with the brand new MG GT have recently made their way onto the web after the car manufacturer has presented it to select press in the United Kingdom.
MG’s newest creation, the so-called GT, basically an MG5 sedan, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some images which are fully revealing it ahead of its public debut which has been scheduled for this September. The model in question has been officially presented to select press in Longbridge, Birmingham, UK, and it will be riding on the same platform as the MG5 hatchback and the Roewe 350.
The brand new MG GT is a sedan with front fascia styling which will eventually be implemented in the CS, the company’s first ever crossover, and it will be coming with a semi independent rear suspension system, riding on 16-inch alloy wheels. Power is believed to be coming from a 1.5 liter engine, rated at 109 HP, by a 1.5 liter turbocharged unit, with 129 HP and by a new 1.4 liter turbo unit, connected to a 6-speed dual clutch transmission. More details on the MG GT remain unknown for the moment and they will be announced in September, during the Chengdu Auto Show, in China, where it will be officially unveiled.
