The facelifted version of the MG6 has been officially unveiled by MG as the cheapest version is coming from 13, 995 GBP.
The 2015 MG6 is said to be a completely new model but the truth is that this is nothing more than a simple facelift. The vehicle is bringing some limited visual changes which include the restyled front and rear bumpers and the new LED daytime running lights. We should also mention the addition of an electronic handbrake and a new instrument cluster.
Three trim levels will become available for the 2015 MG6, the S, the TS and the TL, and the cheapest one is bringing features such as the 16-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brake, heated front seats and so on, for 13,995 GBP. This is followed by the TS, which is adding the cruise control, automatic headlights and wipers, part-leather seats and more, while the range-topping TL is coming with a rearview camera, HID lights, full leather interior and others.
The most important change is found under its hood where the 1.9 liter diesel engine has been improved. This is still coming with 150 HP (110 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, but it is now returning 4.6L / 100km (61.4 mpg UK), in a combined cycle, and it is producing 119 g/km of CO2, 10 g/km less than before. The 2015 MG6 is said to be 75 kg lighter than its predecessor and it needs 8.4s to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill.
