MINI has recently released the specifications for the 2014 One and One D, including the performance and the fuel consumption of their engines.
According to the British based automaker, the MINI One is taking its power from a 1.2 liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine. The unit is good for 102 HP (75 kW) and 180 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 9.9 seconds in this version, with the manual transmission, while with the automatic, the acceleration is made in 10.2 seconds. Top speed stands at 195 km/h (121 mph). The average fuel consumption is 4.6-4.9L / 100 km (57.6-61.4 mpg UK / 48-51.1 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions are ranging between 109 and 114 g/km.
The 2014 MINI One D, on the other hand, is coming with a 1.5 liter three-cylinder diesel engine, which is producing a total output of 95 HP (70 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 11.0 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph). The average fuel consumption is ranging between 3.4-3.5L / 100km (80.7-83 mpg UK / 67.2-69.1 mpg US) and the CO2 emission between 89 and 92 g/km.
