The automaker has taken the historic portion of London and given its allure to the new Blackfriars limited edition, exclusively developed for the French market and available along the three- or five-door hardtop models.
Customers looking to add a bit of British panache to their already British Mini Hardtop need to hurry as the new Blackfriars edition will be available through dealerships only until the start of 2018. The Blackfriars section of London is a direct reference to the robes of the order of Dominican monks because they have been residing the area in like forever. Inspired by the look, but probably not the wits, the special edition Mini comes with lots of darkened elements – matte black trim on the B- and C-pillars, matching finish on the turn signals and Blackfriars badges. The set of 17-inch Cosmos Spoke alloys also has dark accents to complete the exterior allure.
The new special edition also bundles some technology – automatic headlights and electrically folding mirrors, among others. Moving inside the cabin, buyers will be greeted by sport seats in a mix of leather and fabric upholstery, navigation system with a 6.5-inch screen and even a panoramic sunroof – along with the mandatory Blackfriars badge. The new Blackfriars edition is exclusive to lower versions, the One and Cooper or the diesel-powered One D and Cooper D.
