MINI has recently announced its plans to introduce the so-called Cooper DeLux, next week, during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
The new MINI Cooper DeLux will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 New York Auto Show, as the company has officially announced. The model in question has been announced the winner of the company’s Final Test Test Drives contest and, as a result, it will debut at the automotive event in the Big Apple.
“MINI has always been and will continue to be about embracing and engaging our owners and keeping them at the center of our thinking and actions. The Final Test Test Drives program is another example of that engagement and we are thrilled to announce Alex’s winning design as well as thank the other nine owners for their unwavering support and participation”, said Tom Salkowsky, the MINI USA head of marketing.
No word on specification has been said yet but the original proposal was for this model to get the Midnight Black exterior paint scheme, with chrome accents, the Tron-inspired graphics, the cloth / leatherette seats, the Sport Package, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package and the 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. The special MINI Cooper DeLux will be offered as a limited edition and it will go on sale in 56 units. The model in question will become available for order starting next week.
