The aftermarket specialists at Minitune have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, a new upgrade package for the MINI Cooper S.
Owners of the previous generation MINI Cooper S, who think that their rides should be upgraded, but don’t really fancy any of the packages currently available for the hot hatch, are probably in the right place, as the aftermarket specialists from Minitune have unveiled the new upgrade package for the vehicle. The model in question has received a discreet body kit, including the aerodynamic side skirts, the front lip spoiler, the new rear bumper, the faux diffuser, the tailgate mounted spoiler and others.
The MINI Cooper S signed by Minitune is also coming with a Koni sports suspension system and it’s riding on 18-inch Motec Nitro alloy wheels, wrapped in Kumho tires. The 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine from the stock car has been equipped with a high performance intercooler, with an optimized ECU and with a sports exhaust system. Thanks to these modifications, the unit is producing 44 HP (32 kW) and 79 Nm (58 lb-ft) more, to a total of 218 HP (160 kW) and 319 Nm (235 lb-ft) of torque. No pricing details have been announced.
