The new Cooper SD has been officially introduced in the United Kingdom by MINI where the model in question will go on sale starting from next month.
The MINI Cooper SD is one step closer to its future customers, in the United Kingdom, where the model in question will become available for order starting July. The new Cooper SD is coming with a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine under its hood, which has been signed by BMW. The car manufacturer is saying that this is the most powerful diesel ever to be installed in a MINI.
It has 2.0 liters in displacement and it is producing a total output of 170 HP (125 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a six-speeds Steptronic transmission, available as an option. These figures are enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and to burn an average of 4.1 liters of fuel every 100 km or the equivalent of 68.9 mpg UK / 57.3 mpg US. The CO2 emissions stand at 104 g/km. Prices for the new MINI Cooper SD in the United Kingdom will start from 19,450 GBP.
