MINI has revealed the first two-seater in itsmodel range, promising the “ultimate in go-kart feeling.” The basic model will start at 23.400 euro in Europe.
The Coupe will get a six-speed manual transmission as standard, or an optional six-speed automatic. 15-inch wheels are standard specification on the Mini Cooper Coupe, with a 16-inch version standard on the Cooper S Coupe.
On the same time, John Cooper Works Coupe is specified with 17-inch, weight-optimized wheels in John Cooper Works Cross Spoke Challenge styling.
It will also be the only model in the company’s line-up available only as a 2-seater, although it is built on the same platform and shares an identical wheelbase with the standard MINI Cooper Hardtop.
The new Coupé comes with a choice of three petrol engines and a diesel. Topping the range is the Mini John Cooper Works Coupé, with its 1.6-litre turbo engine making 211bhp and 260Nm of twist, which goes up to 280Nm with overboost.
The model is set to hit European showrooms on October 1
