The British based automaker MINI has recently announced its plans to introduce the John Cooper Works GP during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) GP is the most powerful MINI ever and the model will go on sale worldwide in a limited edition of just 2,000 units, out of which 500 will become available in the United States. According to the carmaker, the MINI JCW GP aimed towards the U.S. auto market will be officially presented to the public during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show on the 28th of November.
MINI says that the John Cooper Works GP is powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 211 HP, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 150 mph. The fastest production MINI ever made is also getting a more aggressive styling, a leather steering wheel and gearshift knob, GP stitching, piano black trim, coil-over suspension, larger brakes, 17-inch alloy wheels and more. The MINI JCW GP Will be priced from 39,950 USD over-seas.
