The MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) GP has been officially presented to the public over-seas, during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to the British based automaker, the new MINI JCW GP is the most powerful production car ever signed by the company and the model is available exclusively in Thunder Grey metallic, with an aerodynamic body kit, tinted xenon headlights and a fresh set of 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin of the MINI JCW GP is getting Recaro seats, piano black trim, a thick-rimmed steering wheel, metallic accents, a tubular brace replacing the rear bench and an anthracite roof line.
Power to the MINI JCW GP is being provided by the company’s 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 211 BHP (157 kW) and it has a peak torque of 207 lb-ft (280 Nm), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The MINI JCW GP can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h). Only 2,000 units of the MINI JCW GP will be available worldwide, out of which 500 will be sold in the United States. The model will be priced from 39,950 USD and deliveries will start in March, 2013.
