MINI milestone – 250,000 Countryman units produced image

he British based automaker MINI has recently announced a new milestone, after a total of 250, 000 units of the Countryman have been produced.

According to the car manufacturer, MINI has managed to produce a total of 250,000 units of the Countryman after two and a half years since the model has hit the market. The MINI Countryman is the very first model in the company’s history to get four doors, a large tailgate and, most importantly, five seats. With the rear seats up, the cargo capacity is 350 liters but if these will be folded, the total room will grow up to 1,170 liters.

The MINI Countryman is also the very first model in the company’s lineup to feature all-wheel drive, ALL4 as it’s named, on the Cooper S, coming with 184 HP, on the Cooper SD, with 143 HP and on the Cooper D, with 112 HP. The top of the line version of the MINI Countryman is named the JCW (John Cooper Works) and it’s coming with a 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is good for 218 HP (160 kW). The MINI Countryman is currently being produced in Austria, Graz, at the Magna Steyr’s facility.
