MINI has announced its plans to launch the Paceman JCW in March, 2013, across the Old Continent.
After it was officially presented to the public for the first time during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show a month ago, the 2014 MINI Paceman JCW (John Cooper Works) is ending up in our news once again, this time with the British based automaker announcing its launch, which was scheduled for March, next year. The MINI Paceman JCW is getting an aerodynamic body kit, a sports exhaust system, JCW logos on its body, 18-inch alloy wheels and some other upgrades in the cabin, which will help the model stand out in a crowd.
Power to the MINI Paceman JCW is being provided by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 208 HP at 6,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 207 lb-ft with over boost, available between 1,700 rpm and 4,500 rpm (192 at 1,850 rpm – 5,600 rpm). The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, or to a six-speed manual, depending on the version chosen, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). More details on the model will be announced next year.
