MINI has released a set of images with the John Cooper Works Concept, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2014 NAIAS, next month.
The British based automaker MINI is offering us a preview of the John Cooper Works Concept, which will be officially unveiled during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, next month. The model in question is believed to be offering a preview into a final production version which will probably make its way onto the market sometimes next year and that variant is expected to be quite similar to this concept car.
The images posted below are clearly showing the more aggressive body kit, with grey and red accents, a fresh set of 18-inch alloy wheels, a black surround front grille, a rear apron, a diffuser, contoured side skirts, beefier air intakes, a roof spoiler and much more. As far as the engine goes, the final production version of the car will probably come with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged unit, which should produce a total output of approximately 217 HP (162 kW). Additional details on the MINI John Cooper Works, in either production or concept form, are limited for the moment, and will be announced in Detroit, in January.
