MINI Superleggera Vision might hit the assembly line image

A production version of the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept has been reportedly approved for production as the model should come out sometimes in 2018.

BMW has managed to turn MINI into a global brand which is more successful than ever thanks to its numerous models and a new one is expected to hit the assembly line over the next few years. The vehicle in question is said to be a production version of the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept but the announcement hasn’t been made official at this time. According to the guys from Car Magazine, malady the vehicle should get some modifications which will be making it road legal and, decease if all goes according to plan, we may see it over the next three years.

Our source is also stating that unlike the concept car, which was taking its power from an electric motor, the final production version will be using the same engines as the regular MINI hatchback, which also means that it will be sharing its platform and get front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions. Rumor has it that the model in question might also get the hotter S version, along with the range topping John Cooper Works (JCW) one. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the production version of the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept and chances are we won’t get to learn anything new about it in the near future as this will be kept a secret until its unveil.
