The British automaker has revealed it will make the trip to the New York Auto Show to officially introduce in front of the audience the Clubman ALL4 and John Cooper Works Convertible.
The Clubman ALL4 is the AWD variant of the company’s latest product, and in the US it will be available with two engine choices that includes the 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder delivering 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It can be linked to either a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic gearbox, enabling the Clubman ALL4 to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 9.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 125 mph. There’s also the Clubman ALL4 S which packs the meatier 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine churning out 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. The same transmissions can be adopted and with the eight-speed auto the model will sprint to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds and go all the way up to 140 mph.
The John Cooper Works Convertible is going to be usable during the hot season and comes as a high-performance model with the usual aggressive body kit bells and whistles. More importantly it packs under the hood (the metal one) a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine sporting 228 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque which is good for a 60 mph run in just 6.3 seconds. Prices for the Clubman ALL4 start from $25,900 and the John Cooper Works Convertible kicks off at $35,600.
