Mirrored Smart Fortwo makes you wanna dance image

Always surprisingly different: smart presents an electric two-seater in a glitzy ‘disco-ball’ look in Berlin. It is not destined for showrooms, but designed to be an amusing bit of street theater.

Created for European electronic group Apparatjik, the one-off car is set to make an appearance in the band’s upcoming short film titled Pixel City. Everything from the hub caps to the roof panel is coated in tiny mirrors. Even the windows are covered in special mirror tinting.

It took seven craftsmen three days to complete the project, just in time for the band-cum-art-collective’s tribute exhibition to the German architect Mies van der Rohe, which opens at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin on Saturday.

The Electric Smart Fortwo that is currently available features a 30 kW electric motor that can get the vehicle moving from 0 – 60 km/h in 6.5 seconds, which is equal to a gasoline model according to Smart. It can drive 135 km. on a full charge
