Some years ago, Misha Designs did a bang job of delivering a wide body kit specifically designed for the 458 and inspired from the ground up by the circuit-exclusive FXX K beast.
Now they’re back – with a vengeance – doing the same for the successor, the 488 GTB and its turbocharged powertrain. And because when discussing aftermarket specialists customers tend to be picky, the tuner offers two versions of the kit – one hardcore with the entire package including bigger rear wing and three-inch wider fenders both at the front and back. All parts have been tailored in carbon fiber to keep weight down, and are also easy to install because they hook up to the original factory mounting points. The aggressive version of the kit will be limited to just 20 units, with order books already opened and first deliveries starting in April.
Unfortunately, this mini FXX K will be exactly that – a mini version, because the aftermarket specialist hasn’t opted for any performance tweaks. This means the 488 GTB comes in standard layout with a biturbo 3.9-liter V8 engine, the holder of the 2016 International Engine of the Year prize, packing 670 horsepower (492 kilowatts) and 560 pound-feet (760 Newton-meters) of torque. This will suffice for a 62 mph (100 kph) sprint in just three seconds and a maximum velocity of 205 mph (330 kph).
