The Mitsubishi Mirage will make its European debut later on this month during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
The all-new Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to get a different name in the United Kingdom, possibly the Colt, but in the rest of Europe the model will probably keep its name. The Mitsubishi Mirage is said to be focused on high fuel efficiency, compactness and affordability and the model has been last seen in late 2011, during the Tokyo Motor Show. Since then, the Mirage has went into production and on sale in several countries across Asia and it’s now getting ready to take on the Old Continent too, with a Paris debut.
the Japanese based automaker says that the Mitsubishi Mirage is powered by a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 68 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 86 Nm (63 lb-ft), mated to a CVT which is enabling the model to burn an average of 3.6 liters of fuel every 100 km (27.2 km/L / 63.9 mpg US / 76.8 mpg UK), when equipped with the optional start/stop system. Base price for the Mirage in Japan has been set at 998,000 yen and the model has arrived at dealerships on the 31st of August.
