The facelifted version of the Mitsubishi Outlander has been introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Mitsubishi has finally pulled the wraps off the 2016 Outlander, following some teaser images and leaked photos, during the 2015th edition of the New York Auto Show. The mid-sized SUV is bringing an improved styling, getting the large grille flanked by the slender headlights, the new front fenders, the LED taillights, the modified rear bumper, the different 18-inch alloy wheels and so on. The modifications have been continued in the cabin too, where the infotainment system has been upgraded, the steering wheel has been replaced, the trim has been revised and there is now a higher quality headliner and improved seats.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is also coming with the new electric power steering system, the improved chassis, the redesigned suspension system, a noise-isolating windshield, improved weather stripping, thicker rear door glass, additional sound deadening material and more. Power to the model, in the United States, will be provided by a choice of two different petrol engines, the 2.4 liter four-cylinder unit, with 166 HP (123 kW) & 219 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque, along with the 3.0 liter V6 which is rated at 224 HP (167 kW) and 291 Nm (215 lb-ft) of torque. The four-cylinder is connected to a new CVT and the larger one has the six-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the wheels. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander should arrive in dealerships soon, but no pricing details have been announced yet.
