Mitsubishi has released the first teaser image with an upcoming model which will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, there next month.
In case you have been concerned that the Japanese based automaker is close to collapsing, ampoule think again, because in between creating one-off vehicles aimed towards automotive events, the company is also working on new models, or new model to be more precise. The images posted above has been released recently and it is showing what seems to be an SUV on top of a sand dune, announced for the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, which will be officially presented to the public on the 12th of February, during the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
Our personal opinion on what “legend” this may be is going towards the Pajero, considering the fact that we are talking about an SUV with off-road capabilities. The current generation of the model has been in production since 2006 and it definitely needs a big refresh, considering the fact that its competition has went through a couple of generations in this time. The fourth generation of the Pajero is being put together in Sakahogi, Gifu, Japan, and it is offered in two body styles, with a choice of five engines and three transmissions. What is believed to be the fifth generation of the Pajero should be completely new and this will also include the brand new powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid. More details on the topic are limited at this time.
