Modified Skoda Octavia vRS beats the 200 mph barrier! image

Skoda celebrates 10 years of vRS at the Bonneville Salt Flats. But how? The automaker unveiled a special-modified Octavia vRS saloon that will beat the magic 200mph barrier.

The car is a factory-fresh production Octavia vRS, but some changes have been made to improve aerodynamics and performance. That includes lowering it to run almost 80mm closer to the ground and a new sub-frame which houses a race prepared intercooler.

Interesting is that the 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine remains, but the automaker has used a more advanced turbine to increase the power to ~ 600hp!

Talking about the standard vRS Octabia, we must inform you if you don’t know already that the sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine that produces 200hp and 280 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm.
