Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce a revised version of the CrossBlue Coupe Concept, during this month’s 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The German based automaker Volkswagen is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off a slightly revised version of the CrossBlue Coupe Concept, later on this month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The model in question may look virtually identical to the one which made its debut at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, earlier this year, but the lofty performance specifications have been downgraded, and this is believed to offer an even better preview of the final production version.
The Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe Concept is still getting a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is made out of the turbocharged V6 TSI engine, backed up by the two electric motors. The estimated electric range has been lowered from the previous 33 km (20.5 miles) to 21 km (13 miles) and the overall range has dropped too, from 1,190 km (739 miles) to 917 km (570 miles). The model in question now has a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, compared to the previous 9.9 kWh. Additional details on the VW CrossBlue Coupe Concept are limited for the moment.
