Bentley will be introducing a more powerful version of the current Mulsanne over the following months, during the 2014th edition of the Paris Motor Show.
The 2014 Paris Motor Show will see the debut of a lot of brand new cars and one of them will be a more powerful version of the Bentley Mulsanne. The model in question has been confirmed by the company’s CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, who said that the high-performance Mulsanne will be unveiled during the French automotive event, in October, while talking with the guys at Auto Express, during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The more powerful version of the Bentley Mulsanne is expected to go through a weight reduction as the current car weighs no less than 2,585 kg (5,700 lbs) and we also expect some chassis tweaks. Power will most likely be provided by the same 6.75 liter V8 engine but the current 505 HP (377 kW) should increase to approximately 550 HP (410 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint should be made in less than 5 seconds and top speed will probably stand at more than 300 km/h (186 mph). More details on it are limited for the moment.
